Happy Anniversary Month to Us! We’re two weeks into our THIRTEENTH year, and
laughing at how different things are from October 1999, when we did our first webcast.
We were audio only for the first two years, when we realized that we had all our cameras
sitting in their cases between shoots.

Tonight we’re celebrating a birthday with the first cake that hasn’t come from a bakery.
It’s something called a strawberry cheesequake, and it weights a ton. We’ll see. Meanwhile,
Mark Falcon, who remembers seeing the sun come up plenty of times after our parties,
will open the show tonight. Chase Knox is in tonight, playing his latest drum&bass favorites.
Mian Russell takes the place of Krystoph, who says hello, and will make up the date soon.
Ralph is still playing with the Virtual DJ video mixer, and 9.5 gets to play two weeks after
I put him off so we could do an early production gig the next day. ENJOY THE SHOW!

Yup, this week in 1999, we were brand new to the webcast world, and wondering who, if anyone, was watching. Friends called in, we had interviews, we were starting our long habit of loading various styles of “underground” music onto the automation, and being proud that anyone on the world wide web could listen to our website 24/7. Yessir, it’s been a fantastic May so far, and there’s more to come. Lots of our friends are turning out for
SunDaze, the lovely monthly dj picnic that takes place in various Highland Ave parks. A ground-breaking
(or should I say ground-tilling) series of teen electronic dance parties, M-Rave, has just come to a close -
the founder is graduating! And what, oh what will be made of the young masses now awakened to the
joys of electronic music?? Hopefully the bi-monthly bigness will continue, and at the very least, we’re
thrilled that EDM enthusiasm has survived the ten-year chasm of raver silence. To be continued…

Happy Independence Day! Tonight’s our annual July 4th webcast, where all our friends gather in the studio parking lot to watch the city’s huge fireworks spectacular that takes place high atop Red Mountain, at Vulcan Park. People can see it from all directions, for miles around. It even stops traffic in the interstates. Southside is jammed for a solid hour before and after. A very happy night.

Our dear friend, Gadget, named it BYOB (Bring Your Own Bass) because just for this webcast, everyone parks nearby and tunes their car radios to 100.1 to hear it. The cars are the outdoor speakers for the party. But tonight there is NO PARKING IN THE LOT since the studio kitty finally has her little kitten, and we don’t want to run over them. They’ll probably hide anyway, but still.

Bring whatever food and drinks you like, and we’ll have a couple of coolers with ice. Stay as long as you like. Webcast ends at the normal time, 2am, but we’ll have been indoors long before that. Enjoy the show!

And who opens the show? None other than Kevin Oneel, another fine music maker
from our wonderful little city, whose newest work will be available in October. Yup, we’re
proud to say we knew these guys way back when

Slade and I were talking the other night, and I’m trying to remember what he said.
I just know that when he gets tired of a direction, we always like how it sounds
when he throws up his hands and jumps on a different style of music.
